In my quest to design my own I have realized that there are so many options it is almost overwhelming. Before I embark on designing my own home theater I thought best to review what others have done.

I came across a company that creates not just theaters but educational areas, play areas, healthcare, retail malls, you name it. The name of the company is Dillon Works. I happen to be a big fan of Star Wars ever since I saw the first movie in the theaters as a kid. On their site they display a home theater that they designed for client with a Star Wars theme. It appears the ceiling height could be about 12 feet or higher.

They have three rows of stadium seating. And the design is amazing from the walls with stars to the ceiling to the color patterns. It looks as if you are in a movie set. Not only did today design the entire interior they also designed the exterior. The hallway leading up to the home theater looks just like a gangplank in the death Star.

They designed a walkway with Mirrors on either side of the floor and the ceiling so if you look to the right or the left of the walkway it appears as if the wall goes on for ever. The combination of materials they used is just genius. I am not sure if I really want a theme theater or just a general theater that is well-made. However this one is phenomenal take a look at the pictures below.
